General Information

In continuation of the long tradition of our regional meeting series, known nowadays as "Central European Symposium on Theoretical Chemistry" (CESTC) evolved from the former Triangular Seminars, we organize the CESTC-2004 Symposium this year in Hungary, at the Lake Balaton, on the Tihany Peninsula, between September 30 and October 3.
Following our tradition, we  expect participants first of all from Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia. A limited number of participants will be personally invited from other countries. Our meetings have always been small, and are intended to be kept so, in order to facilitate deep scientific discussions in a friendly atmosphere. The total number of participants is also limited in Tihany. In case of overbooking, national coordinators of the above mentioned countries will be asked to help the organizers to select among the applicants. Therefore, we kindly ask you to keep the deadlines given below, and register at your earliest convenience.

CONFERENCE SITE

CEST-2004 will be organized in a hotel complex at Tihany named "Kastély and Park Hotel". It consists of three buildings situated in a large, nice park right at the coast of Balaton. The surrounding area is also scenic, including the harbour of Tihany, the hills and pathways on the peninsula, and especially the historic Abbey on the top of Tihany hills.
Most participants will be accomodated in Hotel Park*** where the conference events will also take place. A few, somewhat cheaper rooms in Hotel Strand** will also be at our disposal. These buildings are within 100 meters from each other.
Being on the lakeside, the hotel has a good beach in its garden. However, the weather (and especially the water) will be presumably too cold for convenient swimming.
Car parking is available in the hotel garden and in its proximity.

REGISTRATION AND FEES

Accommodation will be available in two categories, ** (110 Euros) and *** (130 Euros). This includes participation as well as food and lodging for three days. The fee should be paid in cash or via a major credit card at the hotel reception desk upon arrival.
Participants are kindly asked to register at their earliest convenience by filling out the registration form on this web-page. Should this be impossible in your case for any reason, please get in touch with the organizers. After registering, you will receive an e-mai message containing all details of your registration. If you wish to change your registration data already submitted, just fill out the registration form once more. You will be able to correct your data up to the closing date of the registration.
